A one-day workshop with Pernilla Siebenfreund
Montville: Sat 21 Feb, 9:30 am—5:00 pm

“If our clients could resolve their issues by using their willpower, and conscious, rational processes, they would have already done so”
– Marilyn Morgan
Hakomi mindful somatic psychotherapy is a sacred conversation between awareness and love. The practitioner is open to not know everything, and allows the mystery of the client’s inner world to unfold. It is a process that supports change from awareness rather than force.
For this unfolding to happen, the practitioner focuses on building safety by paying close attention to their own present moment experience in loving presence, and does the same for the client.
This felt sense of mindful and loving attunement supports co-regulation and strengthens the client’s mindfulness and self-compassion, which reduces shame, allows emotional material to surface and enhances self-awareness, as well as the potential to open the door to implicit memory and unconscious limiting beliefs.
These deeply held unconscious and limiting beliefs can then be explored in the present moment with love and awareness, and further allows for gentle organic and lasting change.
In this workshop we will practice being mindful and attuned with ourselves and another, as well as exploring what may interrupt this state, and how we can return.
You will also:
- Practice being mindful and attuned with yourself and another
- Experience being in Loving Presence and receive it
- Get a felt sense of how you leave these two states and how to return
- Be introduced to the 5 principles of Hakomi
- Discover the body mind connection
- Witness a live Hakomi session
