A one-day workshop with Aladdin Jones
Melbourne: Sun 12 Oct, 9:30 am—5:30 pm
Step Outside, Come Home to Yourself
Join us for a rich and soulful ecotherapy workshop where body, mind, and wild nature meet. This experiential journey draws on the mindful somatic depth of Hakomi therapy, the presence practices of Buddhist and Taoist traditions, the enlivening vision of Joanna Macy’s “Work That Reconnects,” the deep-seeing of Goethean observation, and the freedom of embodied movement.
Here, you’ll step into a living conversation with the natural world — not just as scenery, but as teacher, ally, and mirror. Together, we’ll explore ways to bring the healing power of nature into your life, your practice, and your relationships. This is one of a series of workshops leading toward a retreat-based immersion in 2026.
In this workshop, you’ll explore:
- Bringing somatic therapy into wild outdoor spaces
- Expanding attachment theory to embrace the living world
- Seeing people as emergent ecological beings in symbiotic relationship
- Cultivating a felt sense of interconnectedness in therapeutic work
- Sensory awareness and deep listening to the field around and within you
- Tracking and contacting the present moment with curiosity
- Entering into conversations with the larger body of nature
- Meeting the wild mind of nature as an ally
- Re-sourcing yourself in the beauty and wonder of the more-than-human world
- Allowing intuitive movement to awaken aliveness
- Infusing your practice with Buddhist and Taoist awareness of vitality and flow
You’ll be invited to slow down, breathe deeply, listen with all your senses, and rediscover your place in the great web of life. Expect warmth, depth, and moments of awe — both within yourself and in the wild company around you.
